5th August 2007 - The group took young people and leaders no a day trip to the 21st World Scout Jamboree being held in Chelmsford Essex.  During the day visitors had the opportunity to watch a repeat of the opening ceremony, wander round the day visitors village viewing exhibition from scouting movements from all different countries, talk to scouts enjoying the jamboree and our cubs and scouts particularly enjoying badge swapping (which by the end of the day became swapping anything) with foreign scouts.  The scale of the site was immense and the atmosphere extremely contagious.  Making everyone realise what a great movement we are part of and getting the bug for scouting and camping all over again.
